Hydrant Meter
In order to legally take water from a Fire Hydrant, you must use a Henry County Water & Sewerage Authority (HCWSA) Fire Hydrant Meter. This meter can be rented from the HCWSA Purchasing Department. Release or use of water from a fire hydrant without an approved fire hydrant meter is illegal for anyone other than the Henry County Fire Department.
Anyone who wishes to use a Fire Hydrant Meter must complete an Application for Hydrant Meter Form and sign a Hydrant Meter Use Agreement .
There are applicable water Hydrant Meter Rates (pdf) for hydrant meter usage.
Fire Hoses are not supplied by HCWSA; however, equipment rental companies often have them available to rent.
